    Default Clint1974 vs Barclaycard

    Hello All

I have a Barclaycard Gold which is at its £5000 limit. I started by writing a letter saying that i'd like them to reduce the interesticon rate as i have been a customer since 2003. Still waiting to hear back as only just recieved it. I rang up after registering on there online facility, number 0161 953 5501 to request statements since accounts inception. Ordered no problem, i presume the £10 charge will appear on my card as he didn't mention anything.

But unless you sent them a Subject access requesticon under the Data Protection Act then they have unfortunately done nothing wrong. By the sounds of it you haven't done so and merely requested your statements for which they are allowed to charge you. You can, I think recover your costs as part of your court application. The template is here

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...ction-act.html

But before you do anything else I would recomend you take some time and read through the posts on the forum as if you make a mistake it could cost you later.

(sorry that sounded a bit condescending)

10 mins sounds like a swift hearing! They should settle before. Their litigation dept told me today that 'Barclaycard do not want to go to court'. Don't take any chances though and make sure you comply with the judges directions. Good luck,
