Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Last week I sent off my Data protection letter to the Woolwich, must of been doing far too many things at once as I am pretty sure I forgot to put in the cheque for £10, so am going to resend it today with a cheque.
I live in Scotland and was trying to find out if I needed to do anything differently up here, I realise that there are Scotland specific folders, but I can't seem to find them today, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Also how are other peoples claims going against the Woolwich, any good news anyone would like to share?
the woolwich has sent me a list of charges paid, I am now trying to find the spreadsheet to work out the totals and what to do next, I have them on my favourites at work but am off all this week on holiday, can someone send me a couple of links please?
Have a look in the Bank templates library, you will find a spreadsheet that will work out the interest for you, and if you have a read of the FAQ's it will give a step by step guide on how to proceed. Good luck
Preliminary Letter sent to Woolwich 05/06

I have sent off the request for payment letter and have got
the standard reply from the Woolwich saying that due to the complex nature of issue they are going to send it on to their Head office customer relations Unit, and I should wait to hear from them.
Well have waited a little over two weeks and have heard nothing so I am now going to send them the before action letter, should I send to to the Head office and the original person I was dealing with or just one of them?
I am feeling excited, scared and excited again about the prospect of this.
Stick to your time table prelim (14 days) lba 14 days then N1 or MCOL dont let them dictate the time table. Have fun.

I am so excited, this weekend I received a letter from Barclays offering me £250 but not excepting liability, this has given me even more confidence to take them to court, so that's what I am going to do tomorrow!!!

I am trying to find the template letter that accepts the partial refund on the condition it is a partial settlement and that I will continue to claim for the full refund, does anyone know where it is please?
I am about to embark on the money claim route, does it matter that I live in Scotland, I have tried to read up on it all but am getting a bit bogged down with all of the info, is there a complete document that I could read, and if there is could someone point me in the right direction??

Am a tad apprehensive now, I received the standard letter from the woolwich saying take the offer or nothing, so am looking at the court papers etc, have many people got their cash back off the banks in Scotland, and inparticular the woolwich?
It's a very dark, wet and windy day here in Scotland, maybe that is why I am suddenly not feeling quite so confident!!

Hope you dont mind if i call you that (otherwise I get strange comments from strange pensioners stalking this forum (crossroads next he'll be asking if i know andy pandy and loopy loo))
Yes it was pretty damp, windy and grey down here on the costa del kent also but dont let them put you off, i cant tell you how many ppl have won in Scotland but i can tell you that the woolwich/Barclays have never shown up in court.
Im sure if you scan through the success's forum you'll find some. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...ich-successes/
So cheer up get your money back and put it towards a nice holiday in the sun, that'll put a smile on your face:grin:

Can someone clarify for me that I need to add 8% interest on to all of my bank charges, I think I have worked it out correctly but wouldn't mind email my sheet to someone for a quick double check, only prob is is that I am taking this up to the court at lunch time, does anyone have a spare ten minutes to double check it for me?
