Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
More for the ladies this one......
I was 8 mths pregnant and picking up a friend from her home (she lives in a permit area) and was desperate to use her loo! I left my friend by the car (she doesn't drive) and nipped up to the 3rd floor for a wee. When I returned I had a ticket
Well I fought and fought with Bromley over this. Not only because of my obvious impending preganancy, but also because the residents parking notice sign was gcovered in graffitti making it difficult to read and also because the horrid parking attendant would not enter into conversation with me.
Days before I was due in court I asked a very simple question.....
"What would you have done?"
I explained that clearly they believed me to be in wrong, so I would like the correct procedure for a pregnant lady spelled out to me, just so that i may pass their comments onto various pregnancy publications and my midwife.
A letter dated the next day threw out all charges after a six month battle!
In the states they have speciall parking spaces after disabled, before mother and child space, specifically for pregnant women......we need to catch up.
