Business Rates (also known as Non-Domestic Rates) are a Government charge that is collected by us. Business Rates are payable on all commercial properties, they even payable on such things as advertising hoardings, mobile phone masts and car parks.

The Business Rates we collect are passed directly to Central Government and pooled before being redistributed to councils, and to the emergency services, based on the number of people living in each local authority area. Unlike Council Tax, there is no direct link between the rate charge and the services provided.

You can contact the Customer Services team to discuss your Business Rates, check your account balance or get further information on exemption and relief

So contact your local council.
