    Default Abbey Defaults, further charges...

I have been granted my county courticon claim by default in the last few days & expect a refund cheque to arrive imminently. However, there have been a number of new charges added since first issuing the summons, so rather than start the whole long drawn-out process again - & bearing in mind the outcome above - I'm inclined simply to write something like this:

'I am disturbed to find that further penalty charges have been added to my accounts since this summons was first issued. We would thus like to formally request that the sums in question be immediately refunded to their respective accounts (and any pending charges be removed/cancelled), otherwise you leave us no option than taking further legal action to recover said funds'.

Any views as to whether the above would be appropriate given the circumstances?

Around £2,500. Took around 9 weeks from start to finish.

    Cheers for that.

Just waiting for a reply for my DPA letter. Have about 14 days to go!

Sent it before was instructed to attach £10. Expecting reply asking for the money soon and then my action will be put back.

Great to hear that you have been refunded for the money that have taken from you.

    Bask in the glory!

You can try it but I doubt whether it will have any effect. Have you opened a parachute accounticon? Wait until you get your money back before doing anything further. Abbeyicon may take reprisals.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.

    Abbeyicon WILL close the account.

They really are like the school bully when caught out ;-)

Big deal - it's not like there isn't a plethora of banks to choose from.

Yes, already have a parachute accounticon so not bothered if/when they close account. Just seems pointless going through the whole process again for weeks/months when, since they are about to pay out for the main lot, I may as well ask now for the new charges to be repaid forthwith!
