Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have just recieved my statements from my bank and have went through and highlighted all my charges, I have no idea what I have to do next, have I 2 list my charges on a spread sheet or what.
I am from Scotland and Calculate I am due over £1500 what should I do?
use the spreadsheet in the template library, start with the simple one that adds all of your charges up and applies the 8% interest for use later. Then you will have a good idea how much you may finally be entitled to. Because you are in Scotland you will have to package things up in £750 lumps, and I would do them one at a time. There have been other threads on this and I would seriously advise you check up on those specifically (Gargoil is a Northen crusader!). It may drag things out but you have to start somewhere.
Best of luck, I will be watching with interest!

Sorry I have opened up the spread sheet and it obviously has various items for cuses of bank charges, what would you put for overdrawn charge, would that just be "exactly what it says on the tin"
Yep, whatever it says on your statement, copy it into the spreadsheet. This may help later when/if the Courts get involved. If you use their terminology they cannot argue that you are trying it on. If you have a recent letter or leaflet from the bank explaining charges then even better. The RBS solicitors have just been trying the "we don't understand what charges you are claiming for" routine with a few of us, so we used the Banks own leaflets against them - Ha ha ha!
