Question Anyone had any dealings with GE Money?

    Hiya all,

can anyone tell me if they have had an luck claiming back from GE MOney.

I sent my first request and got back a rather abrupt nasty response. I think it was just their standard letter as they had attached a copy of my credit agreement to the letter telling me to refer to that.

I have issues a lbaicon, but was just wondering if anyone else has had this type of letter.

    Thanks

    Lisa xxx

Hiya yes Im in the middle of a claim with them. £40 a month for adminicon cost because I wanted to change the date the dd came out of my account (from 7 to the 20th) they needed an extra £340 interesticon adjustment payment, obviously I couldnt afford that on top of my mortage payment so requested that I split it over 3 months, including the two months that they forgot to take the extra payment they have charged me for being in arrears.

Had letter back off them saying OFT applies only to credit cards and banks etc, so sent them the one relating mortgageicon companies not heard anything yet got N1 planned for wednesday

    Hi Lisa

Just made out a diary of claims I have pending right now (thirteen in total) and they are all at various stages. I have just discover that this mob GE Money have not replied to my first letter six weeks ago. Right now I am going to send off my DPA to them and watch them very closely. I will let you know when I bring them to their knees.

They did reply to me but it was a case "our fees are transparent blah blah", " your fault you went into arrears blah blah" and the old classic " we are not a bank and the oft report only applies to credit cards blah blah".

Issued them this week so watch this space!!!

Again, another company that I am dealing with. I had the same response above with the 'it only concerns credit card companies (£40 charges on account).

    Best regards

God this must think are stupid or something!!!!!

I bet Imnot the only one out there who wants to type in their letters

"please do not mistake the delay in requesting these charges back as my lack of intelligence. You must think Im stupid if you think you can respond with that letter.

Make no mistake that I am part of a mighty movement that is known as "The Consumer Action Group", which I expect by now is a name that should or has already struck fear in to the very heart of orgainsations such as yours"

I get so tempted to say this over and over as they must know by now what is happening and the fact we all have access to vast reams of information and precedents that have been set, thats is no point in refusing ha ha!!!
