Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, it's great to read about so many other people in the same boat as myself. I went overdrawn twice in the same month recently for approx. £2-3 each time. This added up to a total of £80 in charges (even though a £50 overdraft facility was available to me at the same time which I was unaware of!!!!!!!!!!!) When I pointed this out to a customer service rep she agreed to refund £50. An admission of guilt or what? I'm still £30 down though.
Anyway, as I have been charged loads for many years, I have now sent the DPA letter to Abbey National (and Barclays) and await the outcome.
Do I just claim the disproportionate charges back or should I claim them all back?
Thank you all so much for relating your experiences. Your advice is priceless. Martin Lewis should be knighted.
