Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
We had NTL television (includint sport packages) when we couldn't afford it, and fell behind with the bill - to the extent that they cut off all our TV services.
Yet they continued to charge us for the full monthly TV package.
In my mind (despite what the contract may say), this is wrong/illegal. How can they charge us for services they are not actually providing?
Now I am getting letters threatening court action if I don't pay the full amount. I think it's fair I should pay for the TV when I actually had it, but not when it was disconnected.
I've had a scout around for similar threads but couldn't find any.
