Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Right, This is my main Barclaycard where I know ive had loads of charges - trouble is Bcard are using normal tactics re statements pre May 04. So what I have decided to do is to average my known charges (£520) over the last 25 months = £20.80 per month. Ive then applied this since May 2001. Ive also applied 19.9% interest for every charge every month.
SO GRAND TOTAL = Charges £1289, Interest £720 = £2009. I am certain that this is an overestimate and am quite happy with the figure.
Ive also sent them a letter re non compliance of SAR and informed them that I will of course be amending my figures once I got full disclosure of my account.
So unless anyone can advise of any glaring errors - pre lim in the post tomorrow!

Hello! I feel like ive been gone forever . . . .In the last couple of months have moved house and changed job .. .things have settled down now so back to the job in hand . . .
Finally got responses from Barclaycard and they owe me approx £1300. Now I am looking to file next week but just wanted to ask first - forgive me if its obvious - but i have a second account and i have an account with Barclays that i am persuing. Total amount combined is £3700, well beneath the £5k threashold. Should i / can i combine all 3 accounts or is it best to combine the 2 credit cards and leave the bank account seperate? Im pretty sure you can onlyhave one active claim against an institution at any one time, so thought by combining them i could make up for my lost time?
What do ya reckon?
