Can any one answer this for me,

quick run down

Daughter moved out of old property unbeknown to her she owed C/T although on benefits at the time.

Took her to court and obtained a liability order, Bailiffs involved, debt handed back from bailiffs as they could not trace her.

Now the council have traced her they are demanding x amount from her, she has asked for a copy of the bills sent, over a period of time after they told daughter that they were sent, she never got them she got back in touch and asked where they were. They now tell her that they wont send them as they are subject to an SAR. She has been round the houses with this council and want to charge her for bills that have already been sent but to another address, they tell her that under data protection they cannot send these unless she sends and SAR plus copies of ID and a payment which they havnt told her yet what this is,

They call her on her mobile the email her details with regards to this debt but they wont post anything unless she sends the SAR. Is this correct?

This is the trouble PT, she has been pushed all over the place and I am almost 100% this is with capita and not the council.

Do you think its time to escalate the complaint to the chief, her time runs out next week when the bailiffs will be called back in

and its equita, God help them if they go round to her property as she will fight to protect her daughter and home.

The trouble is that the council hadnt told her that she hadnt paid enough towards her council tax, she owed about £35. now its over a hundred, she had no knowledge of this until she got a bailiff letter at the beginning of the year. she has ignored all bailiffs and just spoken to the council who have passed from one department to another. Now after 6 moths they have decided to tell her she needs to send in a SAR, but we dont know for what as all she wants is the back dated bills that were sent but they say its data protection and she must prove who she is.. the funny thing is is that they call her tell her about all what is out standing but when she asks for it in writing they want her to pay.
