    Default Letter today threatening default following prelim request

    Hello,

    We had a letter today from the Abbeyicon informing us that "as we hadn't managed to come to an agreement re repayment of overdrafticon then they would be passin gour account to DCAicon and entering a default against us"
    Is there anything we can do? We are at the point where we've sent our prelim request and have about a week to go.

    Ring the department and tell them that the account is in disputeicon and could they hold off until they hear more. Have you opened your parachute accounticon yet? if you havnt you need to NOW . Also have they tried to negotiate with you or have they just demanded and you cant afford it? If they havnt negotiated, come up with an affordable repayment that you can afford and offer it to them.
