Sent off my prelim letter 14/8/06 and sent off my letter before action after the deadline. Got a reply from the first letter today from Tommy McLean. Just a standard thing saying they wont be repaying it. Counting down the days until I start the court procedures. Does anyone have any advice on which address for the RBOS to use for the claim?
Hi i seem to have the same problem, i get a letter from T, Mclean but im now ready to start to fill in my papers for court, do you no what address i have to write to as im from chester.
Can you help me.
I think the general concensus is to use your branch's address.
14/09/2006 - Data Protection Act letter sent to my bank.............here goes
28/09/2006 - Statements received through the post. Charges appear to be in the region of £2000
04/10/2006 - Prelim letter sent for charges of £2037
First of all if you start your own thread in the RBS forum, then we can keep track of your claim from beginning to end and answer any questions you may have!
And then if you spend lots of time reading the FAQs and other claims in the RBS forum so you know what you're getting into.
Good luck and keep us informed!

Hi Margaraet.
I'm only a layman so this is my understanding gleaned from various sites, but particularly Unfair UK Bank Charges | legal help from Govan Law Centre, Glasgow, UK . As regards where to send the papers, you can either serve them on your account holding branch (and let them do your legwork for you) or go for the head office in Edinburgh.
Also, I'm sure you already realise this but I'll mention it anyway, just in case...since you live in Chester and the bank is domiciled in Edinburgh, you have the choice of pursuing them in either a Scottish or an English court.
Don't know if this is of any help but good luck and good hunting.
