As i said I'd do in my thread, i called Abbey today asking why they had sent me the same statements twice. The guy i spoke to (Steven) apologised then went on to say i should stop calling them asking when these statements will be sent. I told him that i would stop as soon as they arrived. He then told me that in that case, i should contact the microfiche team direct and that he would get the phone number for me.
After a while, he came back and i think he must have realised what he was about to do and ended up giving me their fax number instead. Tomorrow I'll fax them requesting an answer as to when I'll get my statements.
You will note that this is not the same fax number thats given on correspondences from Pam Speed.
oooooo bumped for someone to look at, are you sure this is not the complaints dept fax number? this is a milton keynes number and they are always telling us that the fiche dept is in bradford, Have you tried faxing them and see what happens? you might get a reply with a phone number on it LOL and keep phoning them,!!!!!

I have no intention of stopping. i will fax them on Monday see what they say. I must admit, i was surprised when he told me i could contact that team. He said it takes about 4 weeks to get the statements from the fiche dept and this was the section they go to to retrieve older transactions
you're probably right. They are so incompetent! I called their loans dept and told them i couldn't pay my loan on the agreed date and got the OK to pay it next week. Well as far i was concerned, it was sorted. Yesterday, they presented the dd and ofcourse, there were insufficient funds. The surprising thing is , they paid it! I have already told not to bother charging me for the privilege of paying themselves.
bunch of incompetents arnt they, so what is happening on monday? I know you are going to spend the entire day phoning the complaints team LOL put a 141 before you dial, I am sure that they started to recognise my number and i started to get cut off

FWIW Abbeys microfiche section is in milton keyens and its called general collections i believe. If you read the letters in the Capaign/ico thread you will see what inmformation a few of our memebrs have been anle to propvide and we have supplied to the ICO

I'll be faxing that dept, complaining about my PPI and about the fact that i was suppose to get phone call from their complaints manager about it.
By the way, i use their branch phones so save on money. Yesterday, there was a young guy complaining about charges. Bless him he was near tears . they'd left him with only 40 quid to last the whole month i wanted to tell him about this site but he was too upset.
