This is a major step forward for the Great British people.
I sent my DPA on 16th Aug (unregistered) and then on again on 24th, registered this time after I read the instructions! The cheque (sent with dpa 1) got cashed on the 25th so they clearly recieved no 1.
A couple of points here,
a/ The DPA letter does not specify the period in question so does anyone know how A&L will approach this, i.e. will they go back just 6 yearsicon or beyond as well? Oh yes and if they just give the 6 years of results, would I need to send another DPA for the earlier period or some other process?
b/ Is there anything to be gained by contacting them by letter or phone during the 40 day 'wilderness' period.
The 40 day wait is so like the new testament 40 days in the wilderness when Jesus was tempted by the devil who tried hard in the usual way, bribery lies and threats, to get JC to abandon His cause. Fortunately He did'nt so I think I'll follow His example. Now waiting for the flack! Better put me old tin hat on.
What a fantastic resource this site is.
