Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have just spoken to the court (Southend) regarding my claim against Barclays and have been told that it has been 'stayed' until Spetember 8th. The judge is reviewing the file then as there are so many claims!!
Does this mean Barclays aren't going to pay up or do you think they are just trying to make life more difficult?
I'm nervous now in case I have to turn up to court
Hi Jim, If I recall, have a look at maiseylou's thread, I am sure that she mentioned a collective hearing at southend court, good luck
PS I think it's near the end of her thread.

Thanks for your replys.. I haven't actually had notification to appear in court I was just told when I phoned the court because I hadn't heard anything that the judge was reviewing the file on the 8th September - so I guess he/she will make a decision then. Good Luck with your claims!
Oh right, well maybe the judge will decide how to proceed with your claim after our hearing on the 8th.
He is basically going through all our cases to see whether it is worth proceeding, so if we do well and he throws it out, that will probably bode well for you!
