Thread: How long did your cheque take to arrive survey

Lots of people are confused as to whether they can demand a cheque or not and there are always lots of questions about how long it will take to arrive etc so I am asking for those who have received offers (full amount or not) to let us know on this thread how long it took from the date you were offered the full amount til the date you actually received a cheque. (not payments made direct into your acount.)

Please also state if you were O/Drawn or owed HSBC any money yourselves. If HSBC put up a fight and refused to pay you by cheque if you owed them money, please be sure to let us know here.

Thanks for taking part. you input is much appreciated. Hopefully this information will help others when making a decision as to whether they want paying by cheque or a direct transfer into their account. I've read so many threads about banks denying cheques as they are owed money and it would be interesting and useful to see just how long it takes them to issue a cheque - or even if they issue one at all!.

I requested payment by chq in prelim, lba on mcol and in my acceptance of their offer. Money was paid into my account regardless. Has anyone with an active account received a chq????
