Hi Everyone,

I have recently made my inital claim to RBS icon

for £1396.25 and they have come back to me offering roughly 60% as a "goodwill gesture icon

".

I am now debating whether to take it or carry on and take them to court.

I am a little concerned as I can't find info on anyone who has succeeded. Is there anyone out there with a success story?

In addition to this, I have read on certain sites that the OFT have said that the charges should not exceed £15 - is this the case and, if so, should I be deducting this from my claim or going for the full amount? I am worried that if I take them to court the £15 will be deducted from every charge I am claiming for and I will actually end up worse off.

Anyway, advice would be welcomed.

hi accept the offer as a partial settlement. Inform them that you will continue your claim for the balance.

Has anyone done this and succeeded? Surely they wont credit my account until we have come to a final conclusion(?)

yes i have just accepted a offer from Capital One icon

, i have informed them i consider it a partial settlement, today i issued a claim with MCOL for the balance. its always best to accept offers as a partial settlement.
