    Angry Steve V's Abbey

    Hi

    What a great website!!!

Have just checked my online statements from the Abbeyicon and have found out that I have just been charged almost £200 in one month in respect of going overdrawn. This to me is the icing on the cake and have found your website and am today going to start trying to claim these unfair charges back. It seems that obtaining statements is a real pain from Abbey but my wife being fairly organised we have statements going back for around 4 years. My question is before I start do I need to claim for the whole 6 yearsicon as I believe the first 2 we very rarely if ever had any charges applied to our account and it would only be the statements I have in hand that I would need to claim on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Steve

    Hello Steve

In that case I would tot up the 4 years you have and go straight for the Prelim letter. This gives them 14 days to give you a refund. After that, you will send them a letter before actionicon(LBA), which gives them 14 days (or else!) warning that you'll take them to court. After that you then take them to court!!

All the letters are in the Bank templates libraryicon.

This is only my personal, honest opinion!
