Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've sent a standard DPA letter to Lloyds, they have replied asking for £10.00, which is fair enough, but they also state that their 40 days will start for the time they get the £10.00.
However the DCA website states "Organisations have 40 calendar days to answer your request, counting from the date they receive the request.", it also says they may request payment which suggests that after they have received your request they can then ask for £10.00, it does not say the 40 days starts again.
