MEDIA Right or wrong
I thought I would start this thread so we can discuss the media & how they protray the fight with the money lenders.
eg: Today large banner headlines in the Daily Mail about the banks ripping of holidaymakers by charging upto 50% more when using your card overseas.
It's being claimed (probably truthfully) that it's to compensate the banks for having to refund their unlawful charges.
My point is this part way through the vg article the reporter states that the OFT have "ordered" the banks to lower their charges to £12.
How many times have they got to be told the OFT did no such thing. We all know what the OFT did so why can't these so called reporters.
No wonder so many people say "You can't believe what you read" etc
Don't bother phoning them today there are no reporters in I tried but someone will be in from 10am tommorrow
