I started for my Dad and so sent the prelim letter asking for the money back, around the £250 mark. Anyway, they have since replied saying they offer something like £115, something about the difference from the charges and the £12 the OFT have said is ok.
Now i know the OFT have not said this is Ok, Merely the stage where they wont interfere or something. I now have to send a lba but how would i word my fisrt part. I was thinking about :
I thank-you for your letter dated 19 August 2006. I do accept your offer of £115 as part-payment only. I will be taking the next steps to claim back the amount in full as already described in my previous letter dated.....
