I have recently had a spring clean and appear to have lost my proof of no claims and as my insurance is to be renewed next week they are putting it back up by nearly a thousand pounds.

Does anyone know where i could find out who my previous insurers have been and if i can get my NCB proof from them?

thank you.

If your renewal is due next week, you should have had your renewal notice and reminders. Renewal documents are usually received by policyholders atleast 3 weeks before the renewal date. Then atleast 2 reminders are sent, advising that cover will lapse if renewal instructions are not received.

You could check the MID site, which I believe has the Insurance details logged. There is a fee for this. askMID

If you have not received any renewal documents, are you actually Insured still ? Check before you take the car on the road.

We could do with some help from you.
