Hi, just a general inquiry really, has anyone had the misfortune of having dealings with WEclome finmance? I lost my job a few yrs back and susequesntly used them to try and get myself back on track but it seems they always collect penalty chargesd for the slightest reason, even having spoken to them about delays in payments by a day or so. Any information would be helpful can I claim back their unfair charges too??
Yes - you can claim back these charges. Take a look at the FAQs - the postings at the very top of the forum. You will find a step by step which clarifies the procedures.
You use the same letters (all written for you to copy and paste) and just make sure you change "banking services" to "credit services".
The penalty charges some lenders have unlawfully applied are quite astonishing! I am sure you will really enjoy adding up what they owe you once you get the statements.
Good luck with the process - and ask questions whenever you need, everyone is really supportive.

Hi Dinahjl, thanks for your advice. I'm already in the process of claiming back bank charges from the Woolwich mafia. £5,000 in bank charges over the past 6 yrs. I was gobsmacked when I went through it all. lol As for Welcome I wasnt sure if I had grounds but now I do. I'm about to pay them off after getting a secured loan within the next couple of weeks so I think it may well be prudent to wait till thats all completed so no boat rocking takes place. I've actually had them knocking on my door in relation to payments and I actually told them to leave my property, it was borderline harrasment, they didnt like that but HEY!! Who cares? They are all rip off merchants. I look forward to taking them on! Keep up the good work
