SAR - Address to London or Edinburgh

Hi All,

I have seen various different addresses for sending the S.A.R - (Subject access request icon

) to Natwest icon

.

The Information Commissioner website, http://www.esd.informationcommis sion...esd/search.asp ,
says Bishopsgate, London but there are recommendations on this forum for Mr Alex Lyons in Edinburgh.

If the official address is London is an application to Edinburgh valid for serving such notice?

Sorry to drag up an old question but I really want to start on the best foot.

I sent mine to Alex Lyons in Edinburgh- did not get for 48 days, so maybe there is a better address to contact

I sent mine yesterday to Bishopsgate, will keep you posted how long it takes.

I sent mine to Bishopgate June 11th and still waiting, but a small claims entered, issued and received by Natwest icon

(and they have the cheek to defend it) and a complaint to the info. commisoners 10 days ago (but nothing heard yet from them), So don't hold your breath with Bishopgate. The 3rd letter I sent to Bishopgate by Recorded Delivery threatening Legal Proceedings on 25th July still hasn't been signed for so it may be best to send your request by Special Delivery, more expensive but Royal Mail says more secure and even guaranteed next day delivery.

Have posted my S.A.R - (Subject access request icon

) letter today 1st Class recorded to Bishopsgate.

I agree Curleydel, will send futher correspondence by Special Delivery.

Bishopsgate, London is the address you need for Natwest icon

I believe.

I got statements back last week. Took about 3 weeks. They arrived in 3 separate envelopes! Also had a courtesy call this evening to check that we had received the statements. Lets hope they call when they've read the letter to offer the money back!

No doubt there is a bit of a backlog so hang on in there. They will arrive.
