Is sending back a direct debit an automated process?
Hey, I am new here...I sent my prelim letter to Natwest and recieved my statements, but no acknowledgement of the question regarding manual interventions. Is this sufficient to show that the charges are unlawful, or do i need to ask them to reply to this question?
Thanks x
Re: Is sending back a direct debit an automated process?
If they didn't include any details of manual intervention when you specifically asked for them you can take it as they haven't had any manual intervention.

Yes sending back DD's is automatic
I would have added something along the following lines to obviate any possible misunderstanding;-
If you are unable to supply this data because there has been no such manual intervention, then please be so kind as to confirm this in your response.
so i have already got the amount for my current account and about to send the first request for a refund, but i think i may have charges on my credit card account too, is it best to do them together or separately?
thanks!
