DPA Letter Sent 22/03/06 - Reply received 24/03/06
Sent my DPA letter on 22nd March, asking for details of charges from date of account opening. (wasn't sure of this at time of writing). Got a reply from Abbey dated 23rd March, saying that I have asked for list of trans. and charges from 10th March 2000! Called telephone banking to ask for the date I opened my a/c they informed me it was 21/06/02 (Nice to know Regulatory Compliance have got the date wrong by over two years!)
They've said that
As you are asking for specific information, Abbey will deal with your request as a general enquiry without having to make a request under the Data Protection Act. I have therefore forwarded your leter onto our Banking Operations Department and they will be in contact shortly.
The letter then goes on to say that they have enclosted an information sheet out lining their procedures. (Not enclosed!)
