Default Barclaycard - Part way there!

    Hi All,

I sent a letter to Barclaycard requesting a refund of all penalty charges to my account in the last 6 yearsicon and received a letter offering me £291, which I rejected. I wrote back saying as they had not given me a full Breakdownicon of the charges to my account I could not see if this was a fair settlement.
I requested a copy of all charges under the DPA and they refused saying they are on a microfiche system. I wrote back saying this is covered and they have now sent me a printout of my statements going back to May 2004. Does anyone know how I can get copies of my charges going back to 2000?

    Please help!

    Susan

Did they say what the 291 was based on?

No, just as a goodwill gestureicon, it had no Breakdownicon to show how they came to that figure!

Without paying the £3 statement you wont easily get access to these statements read the barclaycard microfiche thread :- http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...che-gumph.html

You can pay the fee then add it to your claim, or estimate your charges based
    on the statements you have.

I am in exactly the same situation and havent decided which to do yet.

    Good luck !
