I already have statements going to may 2004 but not earlier and am aware
of the microfiche situation. Should I estimate charges for the previous 4 years?
What response have others had when estimating charges against Barclaycard have they offered to refund estimated charges less £12?

I have just prepared a claim against B/card and have had to estimate a few months, I dont see it as a problem if they dont like it they have the remedy.
The 12 quid has no relevance to whats lawful or not and the charges they have taken from you should be repaid in full so dont worry about it and ask for the lot back.

i phoned up and asked the lady who sent my statements what the best thing to do was.....claim for the amount of statements ive got then when i get my refund, use that to fund the purchase of futher statements and then claim for the rest.
OR
Estimate based on the charges i have
She said to do the second and they would have a look at it for me. Basically by estimating I am gonna get Barclaycard to show me my estimation is wrong by sending me the statements as proof (i hope??)
So what I did was take the £840 charges i had received over 25 months divide by 25 and times by the number of months my account has been open. Hey presto, my estimation!
Only just sent my pre-lim so cant comment on whats gonna happen yet but thought the info might help!!
