Default heidik v barclays - **ANOTHER ONE SETTLED**

    Hello all

I wrote a thread on 26 July but it was in the new post forum (sorry moderator) and was thinking it would be more relevant to update you all in the Barclaysicon section. Promise this will be the only thread from now on!!

    13/07/06 - DPA sent
26/07/06 - Received letter and complaints leaflet etc
    31/07/06 - Sent premim letter
03/08/06 - Received 'fob off' customer relations letter stating their terms as to when I will receive an answer from them.
I ignored this and therefore sent my lbaicon!
    18/08/06 - LBA letter sent
22/08/06 - received a very speedy reply offering £1000 of the £4000ish I am claiming
next step- will send letter accepting £1000 as the first installment of their offer and if I do not receive the remaining balance (within 7 days), then I will file against Barclays.

I will let you know how I go!
I have found this site amazing and will gladly be donating! I could not have done this without you all! Thanks for eveything!

Default Re: heidik v barclays- buddy required!

    Well, surprise surprise...

Barclaysicon did not respond to my letter accepting the small amount of money they offered - within the 'last chance' 7 day period. I have filled out the moneyclaim form but, (buddy required!!), I was unsure as to the interesticon. On the second page of the wonderful excel spreadsheet provided by your site to work out interest, I was wondering what amount I put as the TOTAL amount for interest. i.e. in the 4th column it says 8% on penalties, then I have my interest on pemalties and then I have 8%on interest penalties.

    Help much appreciated!

    Kind regards

    Heidik

Makes perfect sense Nightstar!! One other quick question, I was about to lodge the moneyclaim form online but the particulars area does not provide enough space (only 1080 characters allowed). I didn't want to start deleting infirmation as I feel it is all very vital, where can I lodeg the extra information?
    Thank you!

I have read through that but I thought the particulars on the court form was supposed to be detailed. I will make it brief then?
    Thank you Nightstar!

I beleive the N1 (paper form) that you submit to the courts has a lot more room in which to detail your claim, as opposed to the MCOL box (1080 characters) so you have got to be really economical and there isnt much room to elaborate.

Hehe! Thanks again. In the end, I sent the form online and when I sent you an email last night regarding space in the partiulars box I also sent one to the court. The lady replied saying that you can send supporting documents etc to the defendant and also to add to your file at the court.
My question tonight (apologies Nightstar for all these questions!) is: when do I send the relevant information to the defendant? Or is the next step to wait for the aqicon and then the court will instruct me to send documents to the defendant?
    Many thanks

    Hi,
Yes the courts will (on recieving a defence from them) send you both an aqicon it's at this point you send a copy of all relevent documentation to court and to defendant, they also do likewise.

An update: I received in the post an 'Acknowledgment of Service' (copy of) from Barclaysicon, giving them another 14 days. Adrian Ruffhead was the legal executive. I will let you all know when I hear anything else!

Yes, Barclaysicon are very predictable, but this has ensured I have not broken into a sweat (not even once) in regards to suing this bl**dy bank!
