Default Kev vs Barclays (on behalf of GF) **WON**

    Hi all.
Just finished waging war on Natwesticon on behalf of my GF and am now drawing lines against Barclaysicon...but they are already playing silly bu**ers.

My GF went into her local branch and asked the cashier for her statements. She was told they would cost £5 and would be in the post asap. Well that was over 2 months ago and nothing turned up. She went in the branch again and they ordered her another set for free. Well i hope they turn up.

I did think about sending an SARicon but my GF got her NatWest statements via the local branch with no problems and assumed Barclays would be the same.

Hmm....oh well. I'll keep everyone updated with my progress.

    Yes good luck.
Unfortunately statements can be discretionary from bank to bank

The best way with Barclaysicon is to follow the step by step guide. So send them the SARicon - if statements turn up before SARicon 40 days it will be a bonus.

Then on to Preliminary letter and so on. It is a long haul.

    Very quick yes.

90 quid is better in your pockets than theirs.

Its doubtful they would want to even think about court for this figure. But it would depend on the account status as to how quickly they sort it.
Closed accounts generally take longer for obvious reasons.

    Ok...
Sent out a prelim on the 22nd and yet to hear anything from them. They have until the 6th before i send them an lbaicon. I'm not sure how long Barclaysicon normaly take to send a "sod off" letter but i thought they might pay up quicker as the ammount is quite small. Oh well.....we'll see won't we.

TBH, and despite the illogicality of it, I doubt they'll pay up until the last minute before court, they seem to do this whether your claim is for 50 or 5000 quid

I would looooove to be shown wrong for your sake, btw!

Apologies to people who I was in the process of helping, I may be gone some time.
