    Default GaryH v A&L

    Hi all,

I'm new to the A&L forum, although not to the site as you can see!

I've just sent my lbaicon, but I've got something nagging me a little and thought I might as well ask just to put my mind at rest. With all the statements I received from my DPAR, there were loads of pages of screen printouts with all sorts of gobbledegook and abbreviations and stuff which looked like records of actions carried out on my account - it had operator names and actions, etc. What I would like to know is, does everybody get that? Or could this be the dreaded evidance of manual intervention that could put a spanner in the works of my claim? Theres no mention of it on the covering letter like there is with other banks, ie "we are under no obligation to record M. I. and therefore........... blah, blah, blah"

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

    Gary

I doubt any action they have taken could equate to the ammount they charge!

Although an example might help others to interpret the meanings (I know that Bank Workers post on here). I have an interesticon as I have just sent off the DPA letter, could this be A & L's attempt to defend themselves against the barrage of claims?

Yeah, I got about 800 pages of screenshots. It didn't make any difference - they settled in full.

    A&L: Settled - £6,200
    HFC: Settled - £800
    Shell Visa: Settled - £250
    Egg: Settled - £700
    Mint: Settled - £1200
    RBS: Settled - £850

The opionions in this post are guaranteed to conform to the laws of physics, but pretty much nothing else...

Moneyclaim issued on 1st Sept for £489.50. They usually pay up within 2 weeks of the claim being issued from what I can gather, is that right?

Best thing is, they can't even close my account cos i closed it 2 years ago. Ha!

Wise move. Not long to go now.

When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

I had a letter today from a Jackie Mcguirk, a solicitor from the litigation team. It was just a short sentance saying please find enclosed a copy of the acknowledgement of service, with it attached, obviously. This is normal, I presume?

    Cheers everyone!

    Another one bites the dust!!!!!!

Cheque received today for £551.47. I got the usual rubbish about not accepting the T&C's of my account so they'll be in touch, blah, blah, blah..... MUPPETS! I closed my account a couple of years ago! Ha.

If a mod could change the title of the thread, that'd be great. On my way to the survey now (I love that bit!) and a donationicon will follow. Cheers!
