Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I'm new to the A&L forum, although not to the site as you can see!
I've just sent my lba, but I've got something nagging me a little and thought I might as well ask just to put my mind at rest. With all the statements I received from my DPAR, there were loads of pages of screen printouts with all sorts of gobbledegook and abbreviations and stuff which looked like records of actions carried out on my account - it had operator names and actions, etc. What I would like to know is, does everybody get that? Or could this be the dreaded evidance of manual intervention that could put a spanner in the works of my claim? Theres no mention of it on the covering letter like there is with other banks, ie "we are under no obligation to record M. I. and therefore........... blah, blah, blah"

I doubt any action they have taken could equate to the ammount they charge!
Although an example might help others to interpret the meanings (I know that Bank Workers post on here). I have an interest as I have just sent off the DPA letter, could this be A & L's attempt to defend themselves against the barrage of claims?
Thanks very much for that, my mind has been put at rest. Onwards and upwards!!!

When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.
Should you be offered help that requires payment please report it to site team.

I had a letter today from a Jackie Mcguirk, a solicitor from the litigation team. It was just a short sentance saying please find enclosed a copy of the acknowledgement of service, with it attached, obviously. This is normal, I presume?
Cheers everyone!

If a mod could change the title of the thread, that'd be great. On my way to the survey now (I love that bit!) and a donation will follow. Cheers!
