    Default DeadSquirrel vs Barclaycard

I combined SARicon to Barclaysicon AND Barclaycard.

Prompt reply from Barclays - waiting for free statements now.

Prompt(ish) reply from Barclaycard. Standard B/C letter, shown elsewhere on here, with statements from 2004 attached. Shame really as the account defaulted a year or so before.

I started down the 'pay £3 for statements' route - phoning Barclaycard to request them. They referred me out to the debt collectionicon company that they had 'sold' the account to saying that Barclaycard had nothing to do with the acoount. This company could only offer me 2001-2002 statements and at £5 per statement - and that they did not hold the statements, but requested them from Barclaycard!!!!!

I spoke to Barclaycard direct today, and asked how I was supposed to get full set of statements AND why I was paying a markup. The friendly chap (not his fault, so why be stroppy) offered to provide the statements at £3. The interesting things he said was they were INUNDATED with requests, hence the £3 charge and that it was all taking a LONG time to sort.

I've now decided to send the SARicon followup letter, and at the end of the 40 days send lbaicon based on estimated charges. Can anyone give me figures for Barclaycards overlimit, unpaid item, etc charges, for me to estimate with?

    Many thanks

Hi - I just read your comments and respond to your question "Can anyone give me figures for Barclaycards overlimit, unpaid item, etc charges, for me to estimate with? "

I have just gone through all my old statements and found the following charges for Late payment and Exceeded limit charges:-

January 2001 £12.00 (unsure when increased as my next fee August 2001)
    August 2001 - June 2002 £15.00
    July 2002 - February 2005 £20.00

Hopefully you will have all charges after this date.

    Good luck
