Exclamation Using credit reference agencies for estimating unknown charges

    Hi There

Im one of the countless who have been fobbed off with the microfiche argument. But recenlty I registered, upon the advice of the venerable Martin 'money saving expert' Lewis with checkmyfile.com, who provide you with info from the 3 major credit reference agencies - Equifax, Experian and Callcredit.

When you view these reports it shows you a chart for your payments to each lender for the last 48 months. Each month has a symbol to show where payment was made or when it was missed. It doesnt always name the lender but I can tell from my records which one is Barclaycard.

Now surely this is evidence for how many charges have been made, providing Barclycard policy on charges hvae been held over the last 4 years. Just as an estimate for the last 4 years its useful. Does anyone think it may even hold up in court as evidence, as its from reputable credit reference agencies? I know it doesnt cover the whole 6 yearsicon but its a start!

If youre estimati9ng your claim i dont hitk it matters what you use as long as you can show the court its reasonable. If you can show that the amounts paid relate to b/card then it doesnt matter what it is, it could be a note on t efag packet, as long as it gives you a reasonable basis to work from.
