just yesterday i recieved new tax codes in post (didnt open till today, hate brown envelope mail,). any way in the letter it states my tax code for 'my job seekers allowance', im not on job seekers nor claiming benefits, so whats it about, any inklings
There's been a large mistake made and many people have been put on the wrong tax code. We had info about this at work from our HR dept. It seems it affects quite a lot of people.
You need to contact them to get it sorted. It shouldn't be a problem as they know a mistake was made.
