Thread: Terrified of Pay day loan default and already ill

I am recovering from an op and on half pay. I cant afford to repay PAYDAY EXPRESS on 19th March £450 so have cancelled my card. I have emailed them and told them i have entered a CCCS dmp. My other is with WONGA - due out MOnday 22nd March £500. I haver read scary things about WONGA and am terrified. I am recoevering from a serious OP and am very poorly.
I dont know what to do - I am off to my bank today to ask them to close my account and re-open another one - but this might not be possible.

Can they just take from my bank? I have not given permission. I have also tried to change my pghone numbers but cant. I am so worried about them calling work as i am not there at the miunte, Please please help

Hi Emma

Try not to worry. Your bank should be safe if you have cancelled the card but a good argument not to leave too much spare money in it just in case. Let CCCS guide you on payment offers,

There is nothing these two companies can do other than negotiate. Yes Wonga are a pain and will ignore you and stick loads of interest on. make sure that CCCS are aware of this one.

Thank you so much. My bank refused to open another account and as it is due out Monday and i get paid Friday i will transfer my salary. Payday Express were very helpful and have asked for my CCCS number. I will not let Wonga know until i have transferred funds
