Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
In Feb 2010 I sent off a claim to Barclays under the unfair terms argument and received the usual reply of 'Following Supreme Court Victory for the Banks' etc. etc.
All charges relate to the new reserve usage fees applied to the account which I feel are not only excessive but imposed on customers unfairly.
This account did not have an overdraft facility only the reserve added by Barclays. (Just another way to screw the public).
I think I made the mistake of not making it personal enough and wondered where to go from here.

Having given this a lot of thought over the last few days I have decided to run with this and take Barclays to court.
Not only have they continued to telephone several times a day harassing me but they have chosen to default my credit file whilst the account is in dispute.
Quite franky Barclays are the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune to deal with and they deserve everything they have coming to them.
Now the original fourteen days are up should I send the letter before action now or give them another couple of days grace?
They did respond with the usual answer of 'we won in the supreme court and we can do what we like now' a few days ago.
Also because of the downright rudeness and total lack of listening to warnings I have now started to record all telephone conversations with them.
Should make for interesting reading come my day in court.
