Default Faith in the police definately gone.

Had incident with boy and girl visiting next door but one house deciding to have fun throwing bricks and part of tree branch at two council houses, one being mine. I think they were aiming at next door intially and the house shook when a brick smacked off the other house onto ours. I then opened the window to find a familiar girl and boy lobbing bricks. So I told them to stop it and as realised who they were before, targeted back of houses last time, I said I know your mum is in a council house and any damage to these houses will lose your mum her home as they were warned last time by council.

I got a response of hoa*, fat bit** and we can do what we want. I repeated again stop as they had bricks in their hands and again once hit the house, I lost it at that point and did call them a couple of bra** because I was gobsmacked at how brazen they were in day light just carrying on aware I could do nothing.

I continued to say your mum will lose her house if you carry on and do damage and they said we dont care. Any how eventually a woman from the drive they were visiting came out and listened to me smiled at the kids, private house, and said dyou mind I have told them. Anotherwords for me to leave it at that and she infact didnt say anthing other than smile at them.

I called the council intervention team who are very aware of this family and apparantly there is council involvement with them and was asked had I called the police. I said no called you and they told me to call the police as they wanted to act on moday and I would need to report it for them to do so.

Called police and told they were on the way, quick I thought. The reason I didnt call them last time was it wasnt untill the following day did they appear, too late to act and the time before that hours later again. As the boy was a repeatedly targetting these houses I didnt see the point of wasting my time with the police.

So called on the way. An hour later no police. Rang to be told I shouldnt have been told this as it and I put the words in her mouth, not a priority case, she said well yes. So a brick being lobbed repeatedly at my house is not a priority.

My faith in them is gone, not only did they not prosecute my father for abuse and just kept saying his police record is exemplary, he was a police officer, mind you. Then when you report anything they dont appear. I know if this is not dealt with the boy will be back. The girl called me a fat bit** and a hoa** ended up with me rebutting it to her out of the window, she did look about 16, she calmly replied your not allowed to call me things like that I am only 13, yes you guessed it she feels able to abuse me but as an adult she feels it is not allowed to be repeated to her.

What tiime are we living in.

ps, got good piccies of them on iphone camera holding the bricks and outside my house, thought the police might be interested, no such luck.

The ikes live in council house on road directly behind us. last time because I told the boy to get out of our garden after climbing over the fence, the following day it was ripped down, the fence that is, no proof but it was obvious who did it and the council treat it as weather damage and repaired it.

I warned the police if they do nothing I am sure the window will be put in or some other damage soon, they aparanlty have put down it is repeat offending and that I was told they were on their way.

Should be on way to tipperary, becaue they never come here unless its to the wrong address.

Last time they arrived at 2am in the morning insisted there was a disturbance in my house and could they come in. I said there was nothing wrong and after a while one shouted from the car wrong address, I later on rang and was told not only wrong address but estate.

Well I might be shown wrong. Just had a phone callicon about what I thought was the kids earlier and they were reacting to what I said on the phone about my father. I didnt raise a complaint, just said I was used to investigations not going anywhere.

They are comming tommorow to deal with the kiddies who threw the bricks and they want more information to look into the file on my father.

So I am probably going to get upset over the next few days but happier in should get answers, wether good or not.

Loopin i know how u feel in regards to the police. Worse than useless.

The policing pledge says we should regularly see officers on the beet in our local area. I have been in this area now for nearly 8 years and in 8 years i have seen ONE PCSO walking around but that is it.

Never any police cars unless they are out in force with SO19 and riot police. Never see a officer when they are called out. We had to call them at 10pm, 11pm, 12 midnight,1 am, 2 am, 3 am, and 4 am one night as a husband and wife were screaming in the street about what i dont know but it had woke up whole streets they were walking up and down them screaming at each other and the 2 children were left in the house with noone watching them. Around 4.30 he got in his car nd rove off to work and stay there all day. the police have not took any statements never even bothered to attend despite having enough ppl call them about it and the repeated calls. I was in the house and trust me with all the doors and windows shut they sad they could hear in down the phone.

This link explains more about the policing pleadge and everything else

They called today and saw piccies of kid holding brick and on our drive. The kid finally admitting lobbing something, but denied brick and said ball Any how as no damage done he had advice from police and apparantly the mum did tell him off.

What happened to the kids with footballs I could forgive the odd ball bashing the house but for goodness sake it was a brick. Was told if window had been broken they would have charged but as it is hopefully kid should leave us alone.

Council probably look into it as well and keep an eye, so all ends well.

Officer was a lovely woman and my parott took a liking to her, he was sat on her shoulder trying to give her a prune. Just glad he behaved and didnt drop one on her, she was happy he hadnt

Think my birdy has an admirer in the police force now

Glad to hear they turned up LL. Hopefully the council will do something. We have problem neighbours and what I think the police fail to realise is that when they don't act when the kids are young they then get cockier and cockier, and as they grow up they become capable of so much more and can be very intimidating. They know they can do what they like and people are powerless to stop them. They know they will get away with it. I was so angry when I heard of that woman in the news over the weekend saying the age of criminal responsibility should be made higher. If she were to live around here she may change her mind and see it needs to be made lower and actual action be taken. Sorry for my rant. I do hope it gets sorted for you.

Oh, and your parrot sounds like a little treasure

I had a very problem neighbour. She was, I am sorry to say a lone parent, (I dont feel we are all the same) and she didnt parent her 8yr old son, he was left to do pretty much as he wanted. She had an addiction problem and I am pretty sure she was prostituting herself at night to fund her addiction. The boy was very angry and everytime his mother left him to work or made him go to his grandad's house (who disciplined him for bad behaviour) he would attack either my windows or my virgin box. He has urinated through my letterbox, he smeared something (lord only knows what) over my window, he broke the iron grate in my drain and shoved cans and bricks down it so that it would not work, he threw stones and pebbles at my window and when I was dog sitting for a friend, he went to kick the dog when he thought I wasnt looking.

This child is below the age of criminal responsibility and one could argue that this is as it should be but that doesnt help me.

This child has been in care twice when the mother wasnt coping and was more or less dragged up when she was coping.

My argument is that even at the age of 8 he will have known that what he was doing was wrong but because his behaviour had no consquences for him, he wasnt punished for what he did then it is unlikely that he will understand.

If anything I think the age of criminal responsibility should be lowered and say that until they are ten their parents are made responsible for their childrens behaviour then after ten they should be treated as adults.

This boy seriously worries me because his behaviour is so severe he is going to end up splashed across the papers like the Jamie Bulger killers or the two sick boys who tortured those boys in Edlington.

Totally agree Monx. Sounds like our neighbour. The main troublesome one hasn't been too bad lately with us (touch wood), but they still gets the police coming round for what he's done on other steeets and people/property. When he first started he was under the age of us being able to do anything, now he's 13 and obviously growing I worry for my OH and my physical safety when we have to challenge him for damaging our property or other anti-soicial behaviour. I said to OH when they moved in we need to move before he gets any bigger as lord knows what he'll grow up to be. He knows what's right and wrong but for whatever reason chooses to behave badley. I do think a lot is down to neglect as his mother is a baby machine, as soon as they can walk she pretty much leaves them to their own devices. I also think it's as much police policy or lack of that's to blame. If the parents aren't going to give them consequences for their behaviour the courts should. How else are they going to learn.

I used to live next door to the neighbours from hell. The only difference is I was the council tenant and they were home owners. I even bought CCTV cameras to gather evidence and they were running for 24 hours a day.

I used to be friends with them until their teenage son decided to throw mud at my windows. When i told him off he hurled abuse at me. His friend who lived next door to the teenager was giving me abuse too. I tried telling the parents but i was called a liar. The parents also worked for my landlord the local council.

Then it all kicked off with them throwing more mud at my windows, kicking the football at my windows and doors (there was a field next to my house), threw muddy snowballs at my house, left a huge muddy snowball on my doorstep, tried to kick my front door down, verbally abused me whenever i left the house, had my fence constantly damaged, my back patio was used a a toilet (for both), they played football at all hours kicking the ball into my garden then knocking at my door asking for it back, would send me taxis and pizzas at all hours, dump rubbish (including an ironing board) in my garden and throwing things at my daughter (who was 5) every time i let her play out.

Once the teenager threatened to shoot me in the backside with his air rifle to which i replied you do that boy and i will shove it so far up your rear end you will need surgery to remove it. He never got told off for having the air rifle but i was bollocked by the police for threatening him.

The parents would complain to the council that i had loud music on during the day (usually when i was out) and i was threatened with eviction.

This went on for 2 years before the council moved me due to my failing health.

In all that time the police did nothing but have a word with the boys. I lost my faith in the police a long time ago and i wouldnt trust them as far as i can throw them.

I now have a German Shepherd (who is a big softie) so if i get any trouble i tell them to bugger off before i let the dog out.

I have a dog who would bite the baskets, the trouble is if she did, and as far as I am concerend she would only be doing her job, I would have to have her put to sleep.

I would not risk it but I would threaten thugs with her
