hello all,

I did post on the cabot thread, but have decided to post here too.

after searching on google about Cabot this forum popped up so iam hoping someone can help.

I have been trying to sort out a default placed on my credit file by Cabot in 2007 for an old next debt, i sent them a CCA request for which they agreed to get for me, but returned the £1 fee saying they do not accept it.

Yesterday i have received a letter saying they have not got the CCA from the OC yet and they will send it when they have it and stating that the account wil remain on hold, because they are now past the 12+2 days i have sent a cca reminder letter to them. ok so that is debt number one to cabot.

Today 11/03/2010 i have checked my credit file to notice they have placed a default for an old debt to vanquis from 2008 that they have obviously purchased, the vanquis debt is marked as settled, but it still shows a D on the status and the following month a S.

There is now an entry for this debt by cabot, the same year as the old default with Vanquis, but a month later then the original by vanquis, is this correct ? should the D from vanquis still be showing ? or should it of been replaced with the S ?

I hope that all makes sence, so OC was Vanquis, default placed May 2008, marked settled June 2008.

Cabot placed default for this debt - default date June 2008.

Do i start the whole CCA process now for this debt ?, the debt is 311.00 will they try and CCJ me for that ?

Has anyone had any success having defaults removed with them ? perhaps even in exchange for full settlement ?

The debt has around £70 of charges from vanquis, do i need to send a Subject access requesticon to any of these people to find out what is what ?

what do i need to do now with this ?

sorry for all the questions lol, and thanks in advance for any help.

Wayne.
