Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I believe that IF you are not in arrears then they cant demand that you pay the loan off ( But they will try to! ), although there have been instances where a person has successfully claimed back the PPI & the lender has taken the amount paid back off the existing amount of the loan. I think you have to put it in writing that you want the money & that you dont want it to go towards the loan.
I am unable to post links myself but, have a good read of the Stickies concerning PPI claiming, i'm sure all the information that you require can be found there, good luck
