a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, bought a used car about 3/4 weeks ago from Carcraft.
Really pleased with the car. Really pleased with service to date.
The service book/history was not with the car. The salesman said it had a "full service history with JCT600" and "I wouldn't expect you to buy this car without a service history".
He promised to send it to us when it arrived.
To date nothing.
We phoned Carcraft and they said they would get the salesman to ring us, he didn't.
My wife rang the salesman direct, he said he'd chase it up and get back to us................it will be a week on Friday.
Where do I stand?
The service book would prove the services took place, nothing more. 'Full service history' is a misnomer - I've had behicles with a new book provided and the last service entered... (this being 'full').
You could push him to provide proof earier services had been done on the vehicle, but not enough to walk away from the purchase. Simply that he HAS to get you a book.
