Re the PPI, my understanding is that the fos will only look into your complaint once you have received a 'Final' response to you complaint from Egg.
The only thing I can suggest is that you write to Egg and get them to confirm that this is their final response to you and that they have subsequently closed the complaint.
Once they have done this then it's off to the FOS
