In October 2008 HSBC tried to take me to court over a credit card amount £5377, I disputed the claim and filed a response, to this date HSBC never responded, I spoke to the Court this week and they said as yet no response has been received from HSBC since I filed my defence. I have a copy of my defence counterclaim and court number, I'm now being chased with a final demand from another debt collection agency threatening the same court action. what should I do. Any help appreciated.

Hi , I last used this bank in October 2007, should I reply to the new debt collection letter. The lady at the court has said if they try again the judge will enat to know why it's taken them 18 months to respond to a claim they started

The Court papers state HSBC from October 2008 but yes Metropolitan at first but the new debt collection agency is called Lewis Debt recovery in Bradford and I've had Westcot also chasing this debt
