I found this nugget of information on another forum but it needs to be made common knowledge.

When VAT was temporarily reduced to 15% the Chancellor added 2% Duty to fuel to offset the loss of tax collected from motorists.
Now that VAT has been increased back to 17.5% this hidden tax has not been removed !! Hence the recent increase in your fuel costs, which will also increase the price of most other products because of increased transport costs.

Help get this Stealth Tax removed. Sign the Petition below ::
