Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I will most likely be filing for bankruptcy in the next few weeks and I'm going over my living expenses trying to get it as accurate as possible.
I currently have medical coverage from BUPA, its about £40 per month, would this be allowed as a living expense?
Also, I have be trying to work out my monthly food / cleaning allowance, does £200 per month for a single person seem too much?
This amount includes all food, lunches, cleaning products and pet food.
£200 for housekeeping for a single person seems reasonable. £40 for your BUPA I am not 100% about, but should be absolutely fine to continue paying this, if you can provide proof.
I would be dubious about the BUPA payments. BUPA might be highly desirable but it's not essential - there is always the NHS to fall back on.
If you had some medical condition that only BUPA could provide then maybe you could swing it. But that's a huge hoop to jump through.
(But in that case BUPA would probably cease cover anyway).

£40...you must be very young!
BUPA is just another Debt Industry rip off, and best avoided if at all possible. Like all Insurance, they would not bother doing it if they did not make buckets of money.
BUPA is cheap when you are fit, single and not too young!
But, as you age, marry, have kids, the costs go up, and up and up.
IOW, the closer you get to making any sort of claim, the more you pay. So much so, that it soon gets absurd.
Sure, some will do well, and it's those people they will tout as being examples of how jolly sensible the nice insurance is they are selling...they play on peoples' fears, and present examples of those who struck lucky and received the help they needed, when they needed it.
The rest pay through the nose until the point when they can not afford it, then they end up needing to Claim, and by then have no cover!
Dump all such issues, and put your money into the things that matter.
