    Anyone had this?

    Received this reply from Morgan Stanley with my statements after DPA request:

    "..............I note that you are also requesting confirmation of any manual intervention on your account in relation to the application of any charges and I confirm that any applicable fees are processed automatically and do not require any manual intervention."

    Surely its a closed book case if they state this?

    You have that in writing? Wow. Frame it. Lock it up. Can I have a copy?

    Barclays - settled and about to claim charges since then!
    Morgan Stanley - defaulted on CCA request - ball is in their court
    Birmingham Midshires - starting claim 1st March £3000+
    MBNA - Settled in full
    Amex - CCJ issued against Amex and full refund taken by Bailiffs - cheque received eventually!
    Marbles - Full settlement
    Capital One - Received full amount plus costs

    Preliminary letter sent 22/8/06 requesting more than £700 back for .....
    "any applicable fees are processed automatically and do not require any manual intervention." charges.

    14/9/06 Received Settlement Offer of difference between charges and £12.
    15/9/06 Acceptance as partial settlement letter sent. Expecting this offer to be withdrawn.

    However, remember I have it in writing, direct from the horse's mouth, Morgan Stinky themselves, the admission that all charges are processed automatically and do not require any manual intervention. Personally signed by a manager. Lovely.
