hi there,
I am a tennant in private housing in Scotland.
I may have to go bankrupt and I just wondered if that has an effect on my contents insurance and my landlords buildings cover?
Thanks.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
So I don't have to tell my landlord? He did ask me when I moved in, as he said his insurance company had asked. I obviously don't want to tell him but I don't want his policy to be invalid either.
Why do insurers have to know this anyway? Is it likely that they will still insure you but just maybe charge more as they regard you as higher risk?
