Thread: Success in small claims to TSB

Hi. Just under 2k in bank charges (mainly DDs). Didn't claim for overdawn fees.

Sent a letter based on the Govan Law Centre Letter http://www.govanlc.com/payment_declined%20letter.doc and got predictable '**** off' reply.

Raised a claim online http://www.bankchargeshell.co.uk/ban...aim_online.pdf (120 quid) and got a letter saying they'd defend, and another letter, (same envelope!) saying they'd settle out of court, 'the costs of the case could be higher than the claim, no matter who "wins"' and an offer of 2198 quid to be refunded to our account.

Did you send the stage 2 letter on the Govan website? and where are you bases? Im in Scotland don't know if I could use same claims process.

They attached no conditions at all. Just that we don't go overdrawn in future, .and that this is in Full and final settlement.

And based in England, I'm afraid.

Why didn't you claim for overdrawn fees?

There was only about 20 quid, and didn't realise, at the time, we could claim this.
