    Default stupid question

I know this may sound stupid but I have received my cheque today for unfair bank charges from A&L and was wondering do I have to pay this amount back into A&L as it is still showing a -£230 balance or can I pay it into another bank account and just forget about A&L.

    Any help appreciated.

    HI,
you can pay the cq into any bank of yours but you can not forget about the A&L as they have apid you back your unfair charges. If this was the reason you are -£230 then i suggest you pay it off with the cheqe so not to have to go through all this again!

You can pay it in where you like, but Lil is right that you should clear your OD as A&L will close your account, and you don't want any more problems from them.

When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.
