Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi,
I have been going through all my back statements of a credit card, and i have paid PPI for a couple of years that i then queried and had it removed.(as i did not request ppi in the first instance.)
I have read through the guidelines on reclaiming, but can anyone help with the following?
- i am still not 100% sure what initial letter to send for a refund of my payments.
-and what calculations i can make to reclaim the ppi payments.
Well, was not sure since it was from 2000, and had read a lot of threads with problems that were for over the 6 yr time limit.
I know the interest would have been good, but at least i will be getting back what i was mis-sold!(hopefully)!

The interest, at cc contractual rate (compounded) + 8% statutory (simple) interest (the amount a court would award for being deprived of your money), is probably worth more than the PPI you are reclaiming
